The ASE A8 Engine Performance course is an online training program focused on the knowledge areas covered on the ASE A8 exam. It helps you understand how fuel, air, ignition, and electronic controls work together, how to use scan tools and basic test equipment, how to recognize common drivability and emissions problems, and how engine performance diagnostics fit into day-to-day shop work.
This training helps you prepare for the ASE A8 exam and build skills you can show to employers. It is not an ASE certification by itself.
When you complete all required modules and earn a passing score on the course assessments, you’ll receive a Certificate of Completion for ASE A8 Engine Performance Training. You can include this on your resume and bring it to employers to show that you’ve successfully completed structured training aligned with the ASE A8 exam.
This certificate demonstrates your effort and training; ASE certification still requires passing the official ASE exam and meeting ASE’s work experience requirements.
